Heavy resistance training can make your muscles bigger. When we train hard for strength and power in performance training, stimulating muscle growth is the goal.
Most women are looking for hypertrophy, this will create muscle tone. Strength training will enhance the number of muscle fibres required for stringer, powerful contractions but with less muscle bulk.
When we have increased muscle mass will we not only have better physique but also have increased metabolism, stronger immune system, increased energy, relieve stress and anxiety, delaying age related muscle loss decrease risk of injury and falls. and chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and obesity.
