Pre and Post Natal Fitness

As a mum myself and a level 3 qualified pre and post-natal trainer I fully understand the physiological changes child birth takes on our bodies and lives.

Pre Natal

Regular exercise during pregnancy is beneficial for both you and your baby, unless advised otherwise by a doctor. It stimulates placenta growth and function, supports organ development, and system health. Just 30-45 minutes of exercise daily can improve blood circulation, stabilize hormones, prevent excessive weight gain, boost mood, enhance posture, strength, endurance, balance, and promote better sleep.

I can guide you on the appropriate level and amount of exercise to support you throughout your pregnancy.

Post Natal

Getting back to exercise after childbirth can be challenging and take it’s time to restore previous levels of fitness and strength.

I can recall feeling frustrated in my loss of cardiovascular fitness returning to running and feeling out of breath in distances I would have previously considered a warm up.

I understand how important it is to be patient with yourself and to keep reminding yourself what an incredible thing your body has just achieved for you.

Postnatal exercise is vital for physical and mental health. It enhances mood, regulates hormone levels, and keeps mums active and strong.

I understand each woman's experience is unique.

I offer tailored exercise programs to meet individual needs, helping to rebuild muscle strength and advise you on pelvic floor health. Using focused Pilates-inspired exercises, we can safely and effectively strengthen your core, maintain an active lifestyle, and manage a healthy body weight.
